Ingrid joined the Energy Center in 2001 to lead renewable energy and environmental projects and is currently working on development of their Integrated Energy Communities program. Ingrid has experience in HVAC systems design and drafting, technical writing, and renewable energy technologies. She holds a Masters degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico, and is a LEED™ Accredited Professional.
Ingrid has promoted renewable energy, energy efficiency, permaculture, and sustainable community design for more than twenty years. She is past Chair of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy Division of the American Planning Association. Her book, Energy in America: a tour of our fossil fuel culture and beyond was published in November 2008 by the University of Vermont Press and was selected as an outstanding title in 2009 by the Association of College and Research Libraries.
