Joseph is a U.S. DOE Qualified Specialist in pumping, steam and process heating systems and has worked in industrial energy efficiency since 1990.
He has worked with a wide range of industries including glass and metals, forest products and secondary wood products, food processing, plastics and composites, materials production, high tech and general manufacturing.
Joseph has experience in engineering analysis of multiple energy systems including: boiler and other process heating (ovens, kilns, water heating, etc.), pumps and fans, refrigeration, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, hydraulics, lighting, dust collection systems, motors and VSDs, building envelopes and HVAC.
He has authored or co-authored multiple guides on industrial energy including: the Energy Efficiency Reference (an on-line guide), Assessing Industrial Refrigeration, Assessing Industrial Air Compressors, Industrial Walkthrough Checklist and Planning Seafood Cold Storage.
