Mark Pruitt is a Senior Program Manager for the Energy Resources Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC-ERC). Serving as Program Manager for the State of Illinois Bulk Utility Procurement Program, he supervises the planning and operations that secure, deliver, and bill natural gas and electricity services for 27 State agencies and 15 local municipalities throughout Illinois. Additionally, Mark serves as an energy advisor to the Illinois Governor's Office, Illinois Governor's Office, the Illinois Board of Higher Education, the Illinois Finance Authority, and the University of Illinois.

Mark began his career in 1990 as a Sales Representative for 3M, then moved in 1994 to serve as the General Manager for a specialty glazing firm in St. Louis Missouri. In 2000 Mark joined Nicor Energy Solutions as a Project Developer, and while at Nicor he developed performance contracting and power generation projects for federal clients. Mark joined UIC-ERC in 2002 to develop energy programs for municipal and non-profit entities. Mark received his undergraduate degree from Bradley University, and is completing his MBA at the University of Illinois at Chicago
