Learner objectives

By the end of this webcast, participants should be able to:

  • Identify challenges of internal energy loads in commercial buildings in order to design compensatory strategies.
  • Articulate the 9 basic components of daylighting in order to develop an appropriate daylighting design approach.
  • Understand specific technology applications—including window treatments, interior finishes, fixtures, and controls—in order to apply them in building designs.
  • Define daylighting from an aesthetic and an energy perspective in order to explain the benefits to clients.

This webcast will take you approximately 1 hour to complete and is an audio-visual presentation. Once you have completed the course, and passed a 10 question quiz, members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will earn 1 Learning Unit (HSW).
