She presents the basic components of daylighting design and discusses specific daylighting technologies, including window treatments, lighting fixtures and controls.

- Identify challenges of internal energy loads in commercial buildings in order to design compensatory strategies.
- Articulate the 9 basic components of daylighting in order to develop an appropriate daylighting design approach.
- Understand specific technology applicationsincluding window treatments, interior finishes, fixtures, and controlsin order to apply them in building designs.
- Define daylighting from an aesthetic and an energy perspective in order to explain the benefits to clients.
