Tate Walker discusses glazing technology including thermodynamics, rating systems, window systems and energy savings. He shows how window design can have an impact not only on aesthetics, but also on energy efficiency, human health and productivity.

Tate provides building design assistance and education for the Energy Center's commercial high performance building initiatives. He is a licensed architect and serves on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance as a Regional Representative and an advisor to Emerging Green Builders.

Credits

This self-paced online course will take you approximately 1 hour to complete and includes an audio-visual presentation. Once you have completed the course, and passed a 10 question quiz, members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will earn 1 Learning Unit (HSW). This course has been approved at the 200 level by the United States Green Building Council which will award 1 Continuing Education Unit as part of the GBCI Credentialing Maintenance program. Registration is required to take the course and receive credit.
