Joe Nagan discusses the challenges of building energy efficient, high performance homes in cold climates.

Overview

Cold winters and hot and humid summers in the upper Midwest mean that houses must be able to respond to changing temperature and moisture conditions. Understanding the fundamental principles of physical science as they apply to buildings is key to building energy efficient, high performance homes. Learn how to take control of the building systems responsible for heating and cooling, moisture transport and air movement.
