Overview
Ensuring good indoor air quality by eliminating or reducing chemicals, controlling moisture and protecting against products that off-gas is important to the health of the home and its occupants. Geared toward the homeowner, this online course will review these strategies and why they are essential for builders, remodelers, architects and designers whose clients have chemical sensitivities, asthma or allergies. The course will also touch on why these strategies are important for all healthy homes.

This webcast will take you approximately 1 hour to complete and is an audio-visual presentation. Once you have completed the course, and passed a 10 question quiz, members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) will receive 1.25 HSW/SD/LU (learning units). This course has been approved at the 100 Level by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) which will award 1 Continuing Education Unit as part of the GBCI Credentialing Maintenance program. The Wisconsin Department of Commerce will award the following credits: Dwelling Contractor Qualifier (1 hour of credit) and UDC-Construction Inspector Certification (1 hour of credit). Focus on Energy will award 1 hour of credit. Registration is required to view the webcast and receive credit.
