Eric Truelove provides practical design recommendations for integrating daylighting in buildings and discusses their implications for the engineer.

Mike Kroelinger provides the knowledge and tools necessary to incorporate daylighting into your projects. His presentation covers topics such as:

Abby Vogen discusses the internal energy loads of commercial buildings and the design challenges to compensate for these energy loads. Eric Truelove presents the business and financial case for designing and constructing energy efficient buildings. He also gives examples of buildings that use off-the-shelf proven technology, cost very little or nothing at all extra to build and can be replicated. Geothermal Technologies

Manus McDevitt discusses geothermal heating and cooling systems. He talks about the economics of geothermal technology and how to determine when it is appropriate for a project. Manus is a certified Geothermal designer and serves as a board member for the Wisconsin Geothermal Association.

High Performance Glazing Systems

Tate Walker discusses glazing technology including thermodynamics, rating systems, window systems and energy savings. He shows how window design can have an impact not only on aesthetics, but also on energy efficiency, human health and productivity.

Tate provides building design assistance and education for the Energy Center's commercial high performance building initiatives. He is a licensed architect and serves on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance as a Regional Representative and an advisor to Emerging Green Builders.
