Carol is a nationally recognized lighting expert who works toward the dual goals of lighting quality and energy efficiency. She leads the U.S. DOE Commercial Lighting Solutions program. The goal of this program is to develop best practice energy efficient lighting solutions for mainstream adoption. Carol founded and manages the Light Right Consortium, a group that investigates and educates lighting professionals about the relationship between high quality energy efficient lighting and worker productivity in office environments. Prior to Light Right, she contributed to the revision of the ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-1999. Carol has been with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since 1994, and prior to that she was a Designer/Project Director with Horton Lees Lighting Design, Inc. She is committed to the growth and development of the lighting industry through intensive professional association work for IALD, IESNA, and NCQLP.
