With more than 500 projects under his belt; including K-12 schools, colleges, hospitals, office buildings, convention centers, movie studios, libraries, historic commercial buildings, retail stores, factories, warehouses, parking facilities, multifamily dwellings and single-family houses; Stan has immersed himself in the lighting industry. His 24 years of experience includes distribution, maintenance, retrofit contracting, third party review, consulting, design, luminaire design, rebate planning, policy making and research roles. He has conducted project work for the California Lighting Technology Center and currently assists with the United States Department of Energy's (DOE) research on spectrally enhanced lighting. Stan has authored over 30 articles and has presented over 600 seminars, including sessions during Lightfair and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) annual conferences and chapter events.

Stan is National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions certified, an Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Certified Lighting Energy Professional, an AEE review board member, a IES Spectral Effects Committee and Energy Management Committee member, the Human Centric Lighting Committee chair, a DOE CALiPER Guidance Committee on LED and competitive products member and California's Title 20 Appliance Standard and Federal EPACT Standards consultant.
