Wisconsin Environmental Education Board
(WEEB) Grant Program
WEEB awards grants for the development, dissemination and implementation of
environmental education programs.
Funded projects have included state-wide initiatives as well as localized efforts. Audiences served include K-12 public and private school children, members of various youth organizations, classroom teachers and other educators, landowners, park patrons, tourists and, of course, the public.
Since the program's inception, WEEB has received over 1,250 proposals requesting over $12 million. The Board has been able to fund over 300 proposals with a value of more than $2.5 million.
Funding
The grants program is financed by state-appropriated funds and donations. There are four funding categories including energy-related education. An individual proposal can only be submitted in one grant category.
